Rob Mounsey is a composer, producer, arranger and musician in New York City, well known for his work with hundreds of recording artists and music for film and TV. He is a five-time Grammy nominee and winner of two Emmys.
You may know him from his work with Steely Dan, James Taylor, Aaron Neville, Paul Simon, Rihanna, Chaka Khan, Madonna, and countless others.
Rob just finished producing Easy Love, the Ryko debut of the marvelous Leslie Mendelson.
He just contributed a string arrangement to the new Usher release.
Rob also contributed string arrangements for the new Mary J Blige album, Growing Pains (uncredited on the album).
Rob was the conductor, musical director and arranger for "We All Love Ella," a star-filled evening of music in tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, at London's Royal Festival Hall on November 16. The event featured the BBC Concert Orchestra and opened the London Jazz Festival.
Rob recently produced and arranged the wonderful Deborah Cox's new release, Destination Moon, for Decca.
