Midnight Empire

Midnight Empire was formed in 2003 by Jeremy Leishman, Aaron New and Josh Monks. Two of the songs on this page were recorded at CNP on October 28th 2005 with Alan Riley on Bass/Vocals, Aaron New on Drums, and Jeremy Leishman on Guitar and vocals. The other song was recorded at Ben, the hammer of Thor's house with Leishman handling bass and guitar while Ben laid out some very original drum-work.Now it is 2008. This band is a way to project a simple message pertaining to cosmology and to a lesser extent, astronomy. The universe is too vast for your stupid ass to percieve. So you go about your existence, cooking your breakfast and heading to your cookie cutter shithole job. A meaningless life contained by a shape of carbon waste known as yourself.Midnight Empire is a band that should make you look up at the stars and realize just how insignificant you are. You see the moon almost every night along with the 3000 or so stars that are visible to our naked eye. It's easy to think that "this is all there is." However, the universe contains at least 500 billion galaxies. Each galaxy hosts millions of stars, each star holds the possibility of planets, and each planet holds the possibility of life.If that makes sense to you, then I hope you realize that anything you do does not matter. And by that I mean that the Earth and all of it's inhabitants are mistakes that have no direct purpose or meaning other than reproduction and death.This is Nihilistic Metal.
