Scotland

The Beautiful North

About Me

I am Scotland, a nation above England (in many ways). Without the Scots, there would be no phone, and thus there would be no internet, and thus there would be no Myspace, so be grateful. Now, If you'd like to visit Scotland then it's only a short plane flight away - probably. While in me, why not visit some of my cities? Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, AYRE, Fife, Fort William... there's a few. We've got castles and mountains and forests and valleys and lakes (Lochs, actually, and we invented them so you should call them Lochs too) and rivers and everything, really. Except deserts. We don't have one of those yet, and probably never shall. God's a lot like an overenthusiastic gardener when it comes to us, he wants us to grow and blossom even more, so we get most of the water from his can. That's a metaphor, by the way. I have no religious preference and I agree with everyone.
You'll find that I'm flexible that way.
Scotland is the home of haggis, bagpipes, kilts, caber tossing and the thistle, our national emblem. We are the best nation on Earth. Even better than Finland. Although that's not saying a lot, she's just a big tease.
Our culture here is fantastic, really it is. We have so many great bands, and I keep meeting new bands from both here and the rest of the World who've felt inspired by me, and that's a great thing. We're also slowly taking over Radio 1, as well as England's Parliament...
I guess I should end by saying something like "Mothers of the world be patient with your children", but you probably know that already.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anybody! The Scots are a warm and friendly nation, as anyone who comes here on January 25th will find out..

But I would like to meet Edith Bowman.

Any others? Tell me, I forget sometimes.

Movies:

Trainspotting, The Wicker Man, The Big Tease, Highlander, Shallow Grave, Rob Roy, Young Adam, Braveheart, Chariots of Fire, Dog Soldiers.

Television:

Anything with that Craig Ferguson fella, even if he is a traitor. TRAITOR!- But we still love you.

Heroes:

Robert Burns, St Andrew.... also Terry Wogan. Irish, but we all love him anyway.
