Killing My Lobster, a San Francisco based sketch comedy group and film production company, is simply a group of people coming together to do good, funny, creative work. We write or develop all of our material with members of the group, and friends we've made along the way. It's all orginal stuff, and it's all from the minds of the members of the group, and members of our extended family.
We do lots of stuff. Stuff that is mentioned at: WWW.KILLINGMYLOBSTER.COM
It's not improv. And we are not an improv troupe.
Voted Best Laugh Factory by the 'San Francisco Bay Guardian' and two-time winner of the Best of the Fringe Award at the San Francisco Fringe Festivals, KML has produced over two –dozen theme-based comedy shows and more than 20 short films that have screened at over 40 film festivals including Sundance and the SF International Film Festival.
New Comedy Writing Class: Tuesday Nights, Starting Nov. 6
KML's sketch-writing class is back! Whether you have never written before and have an interest in learning how to translate your humorous ideas to the page, or you want a fun excuse to write in a welcoming and often silly environment, the KML class is a ridiculously fun way to get your funny on. Classes meet once a week at KML's headquarters and result with a fully-formed presentable show, read and performed by members of the KML troupe. This class is a boot camp where the main requirement is for you to write funny and keep writing funny. Details at www.killingmylobster.com
New Show: Killing My Lobster For the Very First Time
Playing at ODC Theater From November 8 through December 8, 2007. For tickets you should have visited www.killingmylobster/tix
KML For the Very First Time--our world premiere sketch comedy all about first-time experiences starring the ladies of Killing My Lobster--opens this week and plays through December 8 at ODC (site of our KML Faces the Music earlier this year). Directed by KML veteran Shaye Troha, the show is a cornucopia of all sorts of awkward, titilating, and incendiary "first time" experiences: from the first female president of the U.S., to a child's first interaction with the boogie man, to the first time a cowboy kills a man, to an acapella showstopper all about first time experiences, and more.
Oh--and in case YOU like to dress up as characters too, there are some very fun theme nights planned every Friday throughout the run. Dress up. Meet people. Get free stuff. Boo yah.
Don't miss out! If you like virgins and virgin experiences (minds out of the gutter, folks) check out KML For the Very First Time, Nov 8 thru Dec 8 at ODC. Click here to reserve your tickets now!
