primal tech rhythm ensemble

I built my first drum shell more then 20 yrs. ago from a piece of maple that I soaked and bent in my bathtub. Unfortunately I had to sell that one. I recently decided to build a portable-compact set, so I made 3 shells that fit inside eachother using maple with oak rims. I've always wanted a variable pitch drum that I could play with the kit so I found a used bongo head, made a shell from some maghogany vaneers and built a peddle assembly. All tracks were recorded on a laptop, using a pair of mics my brother gave to me, the software that came with an inexpensive audio capture box and a mic pre amp. Four of the tracks are solo and with the exception of the fog horn and wind in the first track, all sounds were made useing the acoustic drums seen in the photos, (along with various household items and kitchen utensils). Two other tracks were added that were recorded last year with Ryon Collins on bass. (more later)
