STARDUST
The David Bowie Tribute
Band
Starring ...
Ziggy 2000
Established worldwide in
1998, nothing can compare to this quintessential tribute band, for they span
Bowie’s ever-changing career in a variety of comprehensive revues which are
adaptable to suit any event or venue.
Acoustic Performances
STARDUST performs acoustically as a duo and as a full band. The acoustic
productions are perfect for coffeehouses, bookstores, recitals, libraries, or
any subdued environment. Depending on the purchase of the production, they can
include other instruments such as flute, violin, and cello. Due to fact that
David Bowie himself rarely performs his own songs in such a manner, where the
lyrics are so prominent, these shows are favourites of Ziggy 2000.
Cabaret Performances
The
cabaret productions, which are normally for intimate settings, are visually
stunning and will have the audience standing on their chairs. Whether it is
their pop, reggae, or even jazz standard versions, STARDUST performs the Bowie
catalog unlike anyone else on the planet. The performances include Bowie
medleys, spoken word passages, performance art, and inspired original
arrangements. These presentations feature only STARDUST’s Musical Director
(playing “astrosymphonic†keyboards), and the star of the show, Ziggy 2000. This
is ideal for any venue or event with the capacity of 200 people or less.
Concert
Performances
These
are three and one-half hour (with breaks) “mega-productions†featuring the full
band, and are suggested for larger venues, festivals, or events. Several costume
changes, celebrated guest musicians, and extended versions of Bowie classics
will surely stir the most flat-footed audience member onto the dance floor.
Talent buyers should note that these performances must be secured within 60-75
days before the event date.
Special Appearances
The
character Ziggy 2000 is available for promotional engagements as well as at
benefit events, trade shows, and television and radio programs. His charisma and
flare has made him an ideal Master of Ceremonies at concerts, showcases,
festivals, and other similar functions .

You may be surprised to learn that Canon, the world’s number one digital camera producer, isn’t wiling to condemn using harpoons – despite their high-profile advertising and sponsorship programs dedicated to wildlife and endangered species. We have asked Mr. Mitarai, CEO of Canon Japan to speak out against Japan’s whaling program, but so far, Canon has declined to take a stand against the killing of thousands of whales. That’s where you come in! You can put pressure on Mr. Mitarai to speak out against Japan’s whaling program. Here are two actions you can do:First, TAKE ACTION and ask the CEO of Canon Japan to defend whales!Second, USE YOUR CAMERA to tell Canon to speak out against the Japanese whaling program and take part in our Online Flickr Photo Competition! The whales need a powerful domestic ally in Japan. As a leader in the business world, Canon could express disapproval of lethal research whaling, and help put an end to a decades-old scientific hoax.We believe that when a corporation draws income and brand value from association with environmental causes, they have a responsibility to speak out on those issues. We trust that most of the good folks at Canon, as one of the world's premier "wildlife brands," share our concern that wildlife in general, and whales in particular, should not die unnecessarily for "science."Peace & Thanks,
~Lauren

I had been a booking agent and band promoter for over a decade before I started STARDUST in the spring of 1998. I booked bands from all over the world to appear here in Chicago and took a few hundred local bands under my wings. Some of them have gone on to become Billborad charters
I'm the former director for The American Theatre of the Vampire. My background behind and on stage is vast. I'm almost finished writing a 15 year vampire trilogy, "Tumblin' Horizons" and hope to publish excerpts this year when I head to Ireland. The beginning of the first novel takes place in Wales during King Edward I when he attempted to silence The Bards.
As a journalist, I've done several expose' on discrimination towards the deaf and its cultures. My favourite article I wrote was for Deaf Life magazine, May 1994, when I revealed ignorance and neglect in accomidating and hireing practices within animal industries and animal educational institutes toward the hard of hearing and the deaf. In 1988, I founded the first animal news bureau of its kind, Modern Animal News (MAN) in angst of how people were treating the animal kingdom and its domestic interests. I was offered to become the news director for the Animal Planet Channel, but declined. I had been the news director for several pet magazines including Pet Times.
I have been the Master of Ceremonies for a few venues during the 90's including (the old) Estelle's in Wicker Park where I became known as The Vampire Poet of Wicca Park. While most all the live stage poets then were Slam Poets, mine was delivered as Post-Modern Goth. I've been published as a poet and journalist worldwide.
I am the Founder of Toledo Gay Pride Day, June 25th, 1995, the first ever Pride Day in Northwestern Ohio, where I left Chicago for a spell to open the closets of the oppressed. Toledo didn't want a Bi Male to liberate them, but someone had to. I have pioneered many events and historical "thingz".
Television:
HUGE Cubs fan!! Change it's name and we shall RIOT!!!
Books:
Stranger in a Strange Land, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Dracula, and many others. I'm a gifted Astrologer.
American Sign Language is my second language and I've written for Deaf Life magazine. I can also talk to animals and some fish. It's true and uncanny. :)
Heroes:
Um, Johnny Quest, LGBTQ Media, Yoko Ono.
