About Me

You have been marked on my profile map! Click to make your own visitor map.Recently I stopped being a one piece and became a five piece band. Since I'm lazy, I'm not changing too much on my page here, but adding a few notes about how I'm working with some really talented people. Brook, Daniel, Sarah, and Forrest are all great people and the most talented musicians I've had the honor to play with in a long time. Ok, now back to the original bio I had posted: There are only two types of music in the world, good and bad, I prefer to play the former. If I had to classify my music, I would call it Country-punk, Blues and Soul, Jazz review. I write, record, produce, and play all of my songs using a Fostex digital 8-track, a Pod, two guitars, a cheap keyboard and a crappy drum machine. Recently I added a piano and a nice Ludwig drum set to my collection of wayward instruments, kept warm and off the streets, taking up space in my tiny studio apartment. People have compared me to Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Iron and Wine, Nick Cave, Elliot Smith and others, although I like to think of myself as a sort of Salvidor Dali beats up Sun House while Jellyroll Morton plays the bagpipes accompanied by Les Claypool on Theremin sort of guy. I write for the sake of the art, and to challenge my soul. I believe that music is the epitome of art and science. "Music not only moves, but it can remove as well." --Parliment. Andy Smetanka of the Missoula Independent described my album "Antique Porn" as the "low-brow hit of the year." Mike-Keefe Feldmen compared Fuq Ninja (a previous project) as "a musical equivalent of a dark-comedy. My current project is called 'Groups of 3', which by no means describes the number of members in the band. I have to give credit to my former band mates from Fuq Ninja, The Snippet Birds, Hooch, Los Banos, Jay Snow and the Blizzard Blues, Joey Fender and the 55's (although I still think Joey underpaid us for that Sturgis gig), Experiments 3 and 39, and all the groups that never played more than a drunken open mic now and then: I don't know where I would stop if I started talking about the talent of my bandmates, I consider myself fortunate to be part of all those projects. I like cheddar cheese, honesty, weed, and uh, yeah weed. I don't like babysitting drunks when I am sober or psycho girls who don't like cheddar cheese, Tuesdays at around 2:35 pm, and psycho girls who don't like cheddar cheese. MyGen Profile Generator
