Music, truth and love are the best

"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer

"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act" - George Orwell

"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way, and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre." ~ Frank Zappa 1984

One night, probably in 1880, John Swinton, then the preeminent New York journalist, was the guest of honour at a banquet given him by the leaders of his craft. Someone who knew neither the press nor Swinton offered a toast to the independent press. Swinton outraged his colleagues by replying: "There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. "The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

"Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months"- Oscar Wilde

"Youth is happy because it has the capacity to see Beauty. Anyone who keeps the ability to see Beauty never grows old." - Franz Kafka

"You gain strength, experience and confidence by every experience where you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt

"I consider anti-Semitism, anti-Judaism, and every form of racism to be the result of spiritual bankruptcy. I have ZERO sympathy and ZERO tolerance for people who promote hatred." - Michael Goodspeed

"all human beings are created equal, and a denial of that equality is a denial of one's own humanity" - Michael Goodspeed

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"Jazz is not dead...it just smells funny." - Frank Zappa

Interviewer: "So Frank, you have long hair. Does that make you a woman?"
FZ: "You have a wooden leg. Does that make you a table?"

"I hate patriotism. I can't stand it.... It's a round world, last time I checked." - Bill Hicks

"I'm so sick of arming the world and then sending troops over to destroy the fucking arms, you know what I mean? We keep arming these little countries, then we go and blow the shit out of 'em. We're like the bullies of the world, you know. We're like Jack Palance in the movie Shane, throwing the pistol at the sheep herder's feet: 'Pick it up.' 'I don't wanna pick it up mister, you'll shoot me.' 'Pick up the gun.' 'Mister, I don't want no trouble, huh. I just came down town here to get some hard rock candy for my kids, some gingham for my wife. I don't even know what gingham is, but she goes through about 10 rolls a week of that stuff. I ain't looking for no trouble, mister.' 'Pick up the gun.' Boom, boom. 'You all saw him. He had a gun.'" - Bill Hicks

"I would define, in brief, the Poetry of words as the Rhythmical Creation of Beauty. Its sole arbiter is Taste." ~ Edgar Allan Poe

"Some things are too hot to touch. The human mind can only stand so much" ~ Bob Dylan

"And I knew Bill Clinton became one of the boys when he bombed Iraq. Remember that? It was just a little news story for two days, isn't that interesting? He launched 22 cruise missiles against Baghdad in retalliation for the alleged assassination attempt against George Bush, which failed. We killed six innocent people, launching twenty two, I think three million dollars-a-piece missiles on Baghdad, killing six innocent people. Umm ... I think that's a little bit overdoing it if you ask me. What we should have done is embarrass the Iraqis. And here's how we should have done it: we should have assassinated Bush ourselves. 'There, that's how you do it, towel heads. Don't fuck with us.' And see, if it had been Bush who had died, there would have been no loss of innocent life." - Bill Hicks

"A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. You think when Jesus comes back, he ever wants to see a fucking cross? Kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on, you know." - Bill Hicks

"Children are naïve, they trust everyone. School is bad enough, but, if you put a child anywhere in the vicinity of a church, you're asking for trouble." - Frank Zappa

"You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier...So long as I'm the dictator." - George Bush 1998

"Free energy technology is here. It has been here for decades. Communications technology and the Internet have torn the veil of secrecy off of this remarkable fact. People all over the world are starting to build free energy devices. The bankers and governments don't want this to happen, but can't stop it. Tremendous economic instabilities and wars will be used to distract people from joining the free energy movement. There will be essentially no major media coverage of this aspect of what is going on. It will simply be reported as wars and civil wars erupting everywhere, leading to UN "Peace Keeper" occupation in more and more countries" - Doctor Steven Greer M.D

"I was in Nashville, Tennesee last year. After the show, I went to a waffle house. I'm not proud of it, I was hungry. And I'm eating, I'm alone and I'm reading a book, right? Waitress walks over to me: 'Hey, what you readin' for?' Is that like the weirdest fucking question you've ever heard? Not what am I reading, but what am I reading ... for. 'Well, God damn it, you stumped me. Why do I read? Hm ... I guess I read for a lot of reasons, and the main one is ... so I don't end up being a fucking waffle waitress.' But then, this trucker in the next booth gets up, stands over me and goes: 'Well, looks like we got ourselves a reader.' What the fuck's going on here? It's not like I walked into a clan rally in a Boy George outfit, God damn it. It's a book!" - Bill Hicks

"now lets rob the bank, give the money to the poor, then rob the poor and shoot the money" - Homer Simpson

"the problem with the French, is that they don't have a word for 'entrepreneur'" - G.W.Bush

"america... freedom to fascism" trailer
a new ..ary film by Aaron Russo
One unidentified woman, visibly distraught and in tears, ran from the theater during the middle of the second Hollywood showing. Crying and emotionally upset, she was comforted by Russo and several others who were conversing in the lobby. Several witnesses, including Bob Schulz, confirmed she stated that she had no idea that this was happening in our country and could not believe our government was this corrupt. She stated that the movie was making her physically ill and couldnt watch any more of it. She sincerely thanked Russo for making the film.
