The Voice of Sarastro

Here's how I see it: At the heart of every storm lies an eye where no wind blows, at the centre of every galaxy there exists a place where no light shines, a place of quiet, of peace, of power, of darkness... In this nexus you will find the Masters of the Universe, the Captains of our Destiny, the Fathers of our History. It is from here that the seed was sown and from this place that your fates will be decided.
To fear without understanding is as mad as to worship without faith. Your prophets are false, your gods long gone, there remains in your sight nothing but the chaotic repercussions of events long gone. You scramble around to find reason where all that is left is the confusion of genetic pollution left behind by passing merchants, and yet you cling to your dogmatic dream where you and yours were chosen above all others in the Universe to be favoured by a generous God of powers unlimited... But that glory is not of your lineage, you hold no claim to any such heritage.
You proclaim that your species and ONLY your species exists in the vastness of the ever-expanding sprawl of space... and they call ME arrogant! Your history lies and your religion is Valium.
Your preachers preach that you were created by THE divine being, in his own image no less, but this is not your past, my friend. You paraphrase the truth and you hold the poetic as Gospel... you have only yourself to blame.
Like a caveman with a remote control, you hold the power to change everything, but have yet to see a working TV and so the wisdom continues to elude you. And yet you ask that I should listen to you? You, who bathes in the darkness of ignorance every damned day of your petty existence?
You, my cousin, are part "god" and part "beast": your "divine" minds crave to be challenged beyond the mundanity of "one foot in front of the other, breathe in - breathe out" but your beastly portion holds you firmly to the ground, and I am anchored by your masses. I resent you and yours with every breath I share with you. Never again will my kind violate the prime directive: the mess is too putrid and our sentence too long.
Go back to your churches, your mosques and your schools. Soon enough your Sun will engulf you, and your torment will be over. Until then, just leave me be.
