I'm a bassist/guitarist/producer type trying to ramp up a few music projects including my originals (instrumental bass features as well as some upcoming R&B/Funk/Soul) and some recording projects for friends. I'm still trying to get this 6-string bass thing down, but it will come along. Check out my pics for my basses. I'll do a slide show soon...I promise! Also, check out the video below for my son Cedric, a budding musician in his own right ;-)

I use Logic Audio Pro on a Mac G5, a ton of soft synths, the basses shown in my Pics, Gibson, Epiphone and G&L guitars and Roland and Yamaha synths. I've been posting mostly instrumental bass feature stuff, but look for some vocal stuff soon! In the meantime, hopefully you are enjoying my bass work in progress. My Interests

Playing bass, playing bass and, oh yeah, playing bass. I also have a studio and plan to get more into producing and mixing.

I'd like to meet:

* More musicians and producers, especially females because I don't run into many.* Some of my Myspace Friends like LaShaun Tweedie, SeeBee, Will, Dionne, RC (soon, brutha, soon!), Detroiters in general.

Music:

Anything funky and or soulful...some hip-hop, some jazz, some rock, some blues.

Movies:

Musician movies, regardless of musical genre, whether real or fictitious (Ray, Bird, LaBamba, The Temptations, Selena, Rock Star, Coal Miner's Daughter, That Thing You Do!, you get the idea), Forrest Gump, Dead Presidents, Comedies, 80's movies.

Television:

All the movie channels, BET Jazz, etc.

Books:

Malcolm X, Jaco Pastorius' biography (thanks Clay!). Lately stuff by Zane & Mary B. Morrison

Heroes:

My husband, my son Cedric, my parents and grandmothers, my elementary school music teachers Mr. Morrow and Ms. Hunt. Oh, and Oprah. I wanna be Oprah when I grow up, or at least have her net worth and generosity. Must be nice to send all of your employees to Hawaii.
