WARPIG TV ~ THE BEST PAINTBALL HAS TO OFFER!
Millions of medical and related subject reference books while going through college twice. Recreational reading includes having read every book written by Sidney Sheldon, Harold Robbins, Arthur Hailey and Robin Cook (Coma, Brain, Fever, etc).
I have read several works of Stephen King & Dean R. Koontz . I liked their earlier efforts until they got too far out there.
My son Travis (photo courtesy of WARPIG.COM) who not only lived through cancer, chemotherapy and radiation treatments when he was 15 years old, but did so TWICE in a 6 year period! Then, as if that wasn't enough, he went through a stem-cell transplantation in May of 2005. At the moment he is in remission.
He recently got his first immunizations. He had to start over as if he were a newborn. His last scans in January 2007 showed no new cancer growth. His blood work from the same date showed that his counts are FINALLY ALL BACK TO NORMAL!!! BIG cause for celebration! His platelets had remained low for the longest time.. leaving us to think that he would remain that way forever. But after a year and a half, he has normal test results!!!!! I am so excited for him.. You have no idea!!!
That, my friends, is what a REAL HERO is made of, with courage and strength that go far beyond anything you can imagine!
Travis' very good friend, Andy was diagnosed as an adult with the very same Hodgkin's Lymphoma that Travis has. He is doing very well now, and although his was not as advanced when detected as Trav's was, Andy deserves mentioning for what he went through, as well.
As a side note, Travis, Andy & I all play paintball together as part of the PAINTBALL TEAM. We will be playing both NPPL & XPSL Tournaments, as well as The BEAR'S CUP.. so watch for us!
Another HERO who deserves recognition is this young lady,
-- tay --
who has been going through Chemo and radiation for leukemia for a very long time and is now finally able to lead a somewhat normal life. As of Feb 2, 2008: She graduated from high school with her class in May of 2007. After taking a little well-needed break, she started college in January 2008 attending TSUM of Montgomery. She goes to Childrens Hospital routinely for tests and check-ups. She has kept a positive attitude throughout this very long ordeal, as did Travis, and she deserves a lot of respect for that! YOU GO GIRL!!!Here's another little guy who deserves mentioning..
Trevor
He has severe aplastic anemia. He was diagnosed August 18, 2006, and received several whole blood, red cell, plasma and platelet transfusions for several months. He has been on immunosuppressive therapy since October 2006. He's been transfusion independent since then and he's well on his way to remission. It will probably take the remainder of 2007 for him to be completely weaned from the immunosuppressant drugs, of which they've been tapering doses since February. His counts have been totally normal for a month now. :)
I lost my sister Melissa at a young age as well as my Mother to that horrible MONSTER, cancer. My heart goes out to anyone who has to go through the HELL that I have. I know your pain! It brings tears to my eyes just thinking that anyone is going through that!! I'm here if anyone wants to talk...always!!!
Your soul is happy.
You live life like its all a fun game. You
don't like to take things seriously which is
both good and bad. Due to your fun loving
nature you don't like steady boyfriends that
much. They come and go, and you simply aren't
ready for your true love to come just yet.
Generally you are a good friend who can cheer
up those in need of it and are fun to hang
out with. You hate feeling sad yourself and
avoid it the best you can. Parties and social
gatherings are your things, whether it be in
small or large groups of people. It is no
surprise that you are well-liked among your
peers.Take the quiz:

Gwen Stefani
You're Gwen, you have your own style and you don't give a damn what other people think of you. you're into the more pop/rock music, and you have a strange liking for japanese style stuff...good for you :)
Your Dominant Intelligence is Musical Intelligence
Every part of your life has a beat, and you're often tapping your fingers or toes.
You enjoy sounds of all types, but you also find sound can distract you at the wrong time.
You are probably a gifted musician of some sort - even if you haven't realized it.
Also a music lover, you tend to appreciate artists of all kinds.
You would make a great musician, disc jockey, singer, or composer.
