I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I currently live and work in Edinburgh, for my mundane 9-5 job I work in a bank,I also spend far too much money on cd's and going to gigs(much more than I can afford!) I also write reviews for a well known independent music magazine/website(well,it is well known in Central Indie Scotland) I recently became the resident DJ on Sunday nights at The Sunday Sessions at Jools Hollands Jamhouse, most enjoyable it is too,I use the term DJ loosely,I play CD's inbetween bands!I present a show on LEITH FM 98.8,The Sunday Service at 4pm on,funnily enough, a Sunday! You can also listen live on t'internet at www.leithfm.co.ukOn the show I play mostly Scottish stuff new and old so I would love to hear from Edinburgh bands and artists as it's high time there was a backlash, not that I'm anti-Glasgow(far from it!)but it would be great to unearth some gems from the capital for a change. So on that note, please could anyone that has anything to send in the form of demos, albums, singles etc send them to the following address marked for the attention of The Sunday Service. I promise I will listen to them all but bear in mind the type of music I play on the show(see blog)I'm not fussed about fancy packaging or covers,a simple CD-R will suffice,as long as I can hear you.Leith FM 17 Academy Street Leith Edinburgh EH6 7EE

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who like music,go to gigs and want to promote the Scottish music scene in a positive manner as opposed to the gloom mongering naysayers! Also anyone that I know in the real world who joins the ever growing population of Myspace!! And anyone who agrees with the opinions of the late prophet William Melvin Hicks(Who's he?? Look him up if you haven't heard of him,he was a visionary)Steve Coogan(check!!!)Morrissey,Martin O'Neill(to thank him for 5 glorious years at Glasgow Celtic)Gillian Anderson(well it was a schoolboy crush!)Prince,Mr T,Henrik Larsson(to thank him for the 7 glorious years at Glasgow Celtic)
