"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth" --Shirley Chisholm. To learn, learn, learn! Love politics not the politicians...go figure. I love to travel. I've been all over Europe, the Med and several spots in the M.E. My dream is to visit Africa...when I can I'll probably go live there for a year just because. I could sit in an Art museum or a cafe all day...love art and people watching. I stay fit, but indulge in a Chivas and fine cigar from time to time. Rounding out my interest is music, reading and leadership, especially courageous leadership. My dream job would be to travel the world purchasing coffee for my chain of coffee houses.
Mama Oasis, the children of Oasis of Hope and Immaculee Ilibagiza!!I signed up for myspace so I could comment on a friends blog, but after touring the myspace galaxy I thought it would be interesting to kick it with all the facinating brothers and sisters around the globe.
Lauryn Hill's my Queen! Since arriving in the myspace universe my musical tastes have dramatically expanded...thank you myspace. It has given me an opportunity to hear phenomenal talent I normally would not have been able to hear. I dig Neo-Soul when I'm chillin', Reggae in the club and Jazz in the bedroom. Diverging into the World music scene. I'm loving African music especially recently discoverd Ethiopian music.
Hotel Rawanda (Don Cheadle's performance as Paul Rusesabagina was amazing...powerful and one of the best I've seen. Pulp Fiction, Gladiator and Braveheart. Also like Spy/Great Heist movies like Borne Identity, Italian Job, Ronin and The Professional. Lastly when I need to get my laugh on I make it happen with Ali G, Road Trip, Half Baked and Old Skool...Wedding Crashers was off the meter too.
I've made an effort to reduce the amount of TV I watch...turns the mind to mush, but I'm hooked on 24 and SCRUBS and love my ESPN. Go Gators...Go Bears...Damn it's been a good year!
