Breaking through...

About Me

I suppose I'm a little left of center. I find excitement in what most would consider mundane and shy away from the things that seem to move the majority.I'm a reluctant professional reconnecting with my creative core...songwriting, music production, drawing, poetry, screenwriting(next). You name it. Check out the motivational website I created.

I'm just trying to find my way like every other soul on this crazy ride...I try my best to keep an open mind on most days. Other days, I have no tolerance for asinine behavior.Intellectual stimulation piques my interest. Superficiality nauseates me.I look to you for inspiration. Enlighten me.......................................................... ...I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

hooks and books

I'd like to meet:

thinkers...those with light to share...those who are curious enough to read my profile and blogs to see where my head is at...those who send messages along with friend requests to let me know why they are interested in adding me to their friend list (hint, hint)...

Music:

anything soulful, ...house,downtempo, anything of substance:Maxwell, The Monad Project, Kuku, Naked music, Blaze, Tortured Soul, St. Germain, Gaelle, Raul Midon, Osunlade, Aya, Nuspirit Helsinki, MAW, Zero 7, Soulstice, India.Arie, Sweetback, Sade, Break Reform, Vikter Duplaix, Monday Michiru,...but I can also appreciate Nickelback and Staind - a different kind of soul...

Movies:

What the Bleep, Down the Rabbit Hole, Vanilla Sky, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Frailty, Muholland Drive, Final Cut, The Lover, The Usual Suspects, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Love Jones, 21 grams ...

Television:

the idiot box is generally poison, but there are a few things of interest... 24 - the intensity is crazy! My name is Earl - ridiculous Law & Order, SVU - not tired of it, yet Grey's Anatomy - clever themes

Books:

Pride and Prejudice, The Alchemist, Conversations With God 1,2, and 3, The Power of Now, DaVinci Code, The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, The Last Time They Met, The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, The Power of Intention, Rich Dad Poor Dad series, Oh the Places You'll Go...

My Blog

The Art of Deception

So I've been silent for a long time.  I really don't know why I feel compelled to blog now.  I've just been sitting back observing the world at large (myself included) and these are some ran...

Mistakes and Missed Takes

I just came back from seeing the movie "Evening".  I'm not even sure whether I liked it or not.  However, some things did stick with me&so perhaps, the film did the job.  Thought A One...

Ticket for One

I took myself to a movie this evening.  Some people may find that strange but to tell the truth, I would rather go by myself than with someone who would annoy me during the film.  You know&t...

Re-defining Failure

Haven't blogged in a minute...I feel one coming on, but in the meantime, here's the latest reflection from my site.  We've all heard the axiom "If at first you don't succeed, then try, try, agai...

Happy Valentine's Day...not for all

Let me start by saying that I am not anti-Valentine's day.  The idea of celebrating love is worthy.  I appreciate any show of love that comes my way&any day.   On the other hand, I...

Vajayjays, hoohahs, and kitty-cats

Human beings never cease to amaze me. This story has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.   I believe most people have heard of "The Vagina Monologues",  Eve Ensler'...

Food for the Soul

Last weekend was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.  It's hard to describe the impact of it all if you weren't actually there, but suffice it to say its influence will be far-...
