The Monad Project

The Monad Project is the moniker for the producer/remixer Joseph Woods aka Monad. The Monad project first started in the 70’s with a chubby kid, a saxophone, an eight track recorder and a father’s love of Jazz. These elements along with years behind the scenes working as an assistant/engineer in New York and in Virginia Beach under legendary producer Teddy Riley.After years of working in the commercial music industry, Monad decided to give birth to his own creations. He took shelter in the underground after his first hand look at the assembly line method for crafting commercial hits. This process proved valuable for the technical knowledge, but not for creating music that touched his soul.This led to several pilgrimages to NYC to the legendary Body& Soul Parties, the Winter Music Conferences, and all other dungeonous spots along the way that played House and Downtempo.So here we are today with some offerings from Monad trying to touch some souls and put in his two cents to make the world a better neighborhood with music.
