About Me

It’s been a good year for asbos, despite only coming out of the practice room at the start of 2005 they have already built up a reputation throughout Liverpool as one of the most exciting, interesting and original bands around. Ever after playing Notting Hill's Death Disco club, upon request from Alan McGhee 18 months ago, people have come to witness the band before they begin to break through.
asbos have seen nice things written about them in a whole host of music magazines/fanzines and have performed at various radio show sessions earning them respect within the industry and helping them to build up a loyal and ever growing fanbase.
With a strong diy ethic, ASbos have released three e.p's in the past year and have recently added a new recruit in the shape of George, who fills in with some violin, synth, some percussion and vocals.

Sounds Like: Gigwise - "All in all, truly triumphant stuff, gigwise wouldn't want to sound a first rate arse-licker - but we've got our tongue too far up asbos bum to defend ourselves right now"

Stool Pigeon - "From the talking heads and pixies school of weird, but they have a unique edge which digs into our heels and toes the longer we remain"

Another Late Night - "Deliciously macabre, this is a band that needs to be heard"

The Fly- "We warm to their slow and gutsy funkola and lines of crooked monotype from a wobbly-eyed front man. At high points the bassy tension routes us deep into their weird world and everything goes a funny shape".

Semi Colon Cancer - "A truly special band that manage to convey a brooding power and self assurence without so much as Clicking on a distortion pedal"

Platform Radio - "Nervy paranoid tales of modern vaudeville"

Northern Noise - "Their songs have character and a definite sound, combining stark parts that sit neatly on top of each other, with catchy bass lines to produce the simplest of musical layouts"

Hush Hush Magazine - "ASbos never once sound like they are merely exercising a style, instead inhabiting and coercing thier sound with an understated yet sure, touch"

Salvo Magazine - "Living up to their name and laying claim to one of merseysides most unique rock sounds, these boyos draw influence from a whole host of outsiders"
