Add to My Profile | More VideosThe Band Cowboy Surfer consists of:Stu Shulman {Cowboy Surfer} – Guitars, Vocals, Mandolin Stu the Cowboy Surfer plays a mean rhythm guitar. Known for his driving rhythms and melodic picking, Stu’s sound ranges from Blues Traveler to Steely Dan. Stu is now sponsored by Kerly Strings.Tom Molinelli {T Bone Steak} – Harmonica & Lead Guitar T Bone is flat out the best harmonica player in the west. His searing solos remind one of John Popper, John Mayall and Sugar Blue. Not only is he a remarkable harmonica player, but he is also a blistering lead guitar player who reminds one of Carlos Santana crossed with Stevie Ray Vaughn and Freddie King. A real treat for the ears.Eamonn Taggart – Bass Guitar Eamonn who hails from Ireland, is a solid rhythm man with a steady stage presence and a keen ear for the many changes that occur during live onstage jam sessions.Dave Haddad – Drums and Percussion Dave is a world renowned drummer who has toured the world over and is a master of time and space in the percussion world. He is as solid as they come. His beats are tight and his percussive rhythms are the backbone of the live performance. His style can be compared to Carl Palmer or Manu Katche. His penchant for perfection and fluidity on the kit are highlights of the bands live performance. With blistering harmonica and guitar solos, solid rhythms, and original songwriting, Cowboy Surfer has a blues based sound reminiscent of Blues Traveler mixed with Steely Dan. One moment finds you listening to a heartfelt ballad, and the next one may find you in the middle of a frenetic open jam session that will satisfy hardcore music enthusiasts and those that wish to move to the rhythms being created onstage. With lush musical backgrounds, the songs take on a life of their own. The audience is transported to a musical world created by the band. Cowboy Surfer shows are memorable experiences.
Influences: Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Santana, John Mayall
Sounds Like: Blues Traveler, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, Santana, Midnight Oil or we could slip into any number of genres on a moments notice.
