Balta Bordoy

Nacido en Palma de Mallorca el 4 de Marzo de 1973 y de formación autodidacta, empezó a interesarse por la música y la guitarra a los 15 años. Es el guitarrista de The Blues Devils, banda fundada junto al cantante Pep Baño el año 1994. Con este grupo ha grabado y coproducido dos discos ["Pep Baño & The Blues Devils - Live" (Blau/Discmedi CD135) en 1997 y "The Blues Devils - Nightlife" (Blau/Discmedi CD229), con Jay Kaye (St.Louis, USA) a la voz, en 2000] y actuado en numerosos festivales (Terrassa, Cerdanyola, Cazorla, Roses, Getxo, Reus, San Fernando-Isla Del Blues,... ), salas (Bluesville, La Coquette, Beethoven BB, Clamores, La Boite, Black Note, La Cueva Del Jazz, Akelarre,...) y en el circuito Artistas en Ruta, compartiendo cartel y escenario con artistas de la talla de Otis Rush Band, Koko Taylor, John Hammond, Corey Harris, Phillip Walker, Bernard Allison, Big Bill Morganfield, Deborah Coleman, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers y muchos otros.
Desde hace 14 años (la misma inauguración el 31 de Marzo del 94) se le puede escuchar semanalmente en el Bluesville Café Bar con diferentes formaciones.
En la actualidad colabora con The Walking Stick Man Band (BCN), ademas de tocar habitualmente con el veterano cantante Edward Wade (Tennesse, USA) en dúo o con banda, Víctor Uris Blues Quartet, Hugo Sócrate, Carmen Jaime, Miquel Ferrer Blues Combo, Wonderbrass (con los que actuó en 2007 en Berlín y en Madrid en 2008),...

Born in Mallorca in 1973 Balta Bordoy is a self-taught guitar player which he started playing at 15. He founded The Blues Devils with singer Pep Banyo in 1994 and they recorded a live cd in 1997, "Pep Baño & The Blues Devils - Live" (Blau/Discmedi CD135). After different band line ups, The Blues Devils recorded again in 2000 the cd "Nightlife" (Blau/Discmedi CD229) featuring Jay Kaye (St.Louis, USA) on vocals. He regularly appears as special guest with The Walking Stick Man Band (BCN), and also plays with Víctor Uris Blues Quartet, Hugo Sócrate Latin Blues Combo, Carmen Jaime, Miquel Ferrer Blues Combo, the "marchin' band" Wonderbrass (with whom he played in Berlín on March, 2007 and in Madrid in 2008) and together with well known veteran singer Edward Wade (Tennesse, USA).
