Rock and Roll!

About Me

I'm a natural redhead. I love music. I live for music. I am half indie girl, half rockabilly chick. I like people. I love animals even more - they don't really judge people. Overall, I'm no nonsense. I hate bullshit. I love life. I also love tequila..and vodka and cranberry. Drop me a note if you like...I won't bite.

My Interests

I have a great passion for travelling, music, art and culture. I love live music, watching films, exploring English history, Wildlife/Animals, walking through cemetaries, gardening, parties, exploring new places, big cities with big crowds, quiet places with no crowds, staying up all night, slagging off work, sleeping, good conversation and fine multicultural vegetarian food. I also believe in the rights of animals.

I'd like to meet:

Luckily most of the people I truly respect, I've already met...or else they are long gone to another world. However, I would love to meet the Dalai Lama, Roger Daltry, Johnny Lee Miller, Almodovar, Joaquin Phoenix, Quentin Tarantino and anyone with $10 million dollars in the bank who wants to take me on an all inclusive roadtrip vacation! I'd also like to meet the ghost of Ian Curtis, Buddy Holly, Albert Schweizer, Elvis, Jane Austen, Johnny Cash and Oscar Wilde.

Music:

I like 50's rock and roll, 70's punk, 80's alternative new wave, rockabilly (from all decades - old and new), 90's so-so, 2000's indy, surf, punk and rockabilly scene and I support local bands who are usually starving artists. Old and new bands I really love include: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Adam and the Ants, The Warlocks, Stone Roses and Ian Brown, Ride, She Wants Revenge, The Kills, The Black Angels, Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, Morrissey/The Smiths, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, JM&C, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Hives, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Stranglers, Cranberries, Clinic, Sons and Daughters, Bauhaus, Echo and the Bunnymen, Uncut, The Dandy Warhols, Ravonettes, Link Wray, Depeche Mode, the Cramps, The Pogues, Sisters of Mercy, the Mission, Ministry, Sinead O'Connor, David Sylvian and Japan, The English Beat, The Specials, The Ramones, The Who, B52's, The Clash, Jayne County, Love and Rockets, Violent Femmes, Soft Cell, The Sex Pistols, Sonic Youth, The Cure, The Cult, loads more. Plus I like old stuff like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Patsy Cline, Robert Johnston..and the new stuff, particularly I LIVE for rockabilly and some psychobilly - Reverend Horton Heat, Robert Gordon, The Chop Tops, The Cockroaches, Jack Rabbit Slim, Bloodshot Bill, Gutter Demons, Slim Sandy, The Royal Crowns, Swingin' Blackjacks, Three Blue Teardrops and more more more. And then there is the Treblemakers, The Von Drats, Eradicators, and countless others.

Television:

Considering I work for a tv provider, I don't watch too much tv. But I like old horror flicks, shows like 30 Days, Six Feet Under, Huff, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sanford and Son reruns, Sex and the city, documentaries about life and world situations, music docs, Britcoms, The Office (UK version), Faulty Towers, Seinfeld reruns, Weeds, Little Britian.
