Micky Romero started playing guitar in 1980 at the age of six. He never took a lesson and learned everything by an autodidactic way. As time went by he also learned to play other instruments, like drums, bass or banjo.
In 1989 he entered the local music scene playing drums for the "Porncats", a funny little rockabilly band.
In 1992 he started playing drums in his brother's band "Teddy Conetti", a very unique and hard rockin' 50s rock'n'roll combo. In this band he changed over to the lead guitar in 1995.
In 2007 he left "Teddy Conetti" to follow his rising passion for singing and playing old school country music.
By now Micky Romero produces fine little countrysongs in his comfortable home recording studio deep in the wild woods of Westfalia, Germany.
From time to time he travelles the country, singing old songs by Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Johnny Cash and other countrystars. Sometimes he is supported by Steve Cheezecump on drums and Hank Thorntree on upright bass, also known as "The Tecklenburg Two".
The number of his own songs increases constantly...
The next ones will be posted in a few weeks!
