What happens if two guys decide to go to Nashville to record a country album? Right, they go to Nashville and just do it!
The interesting point about it is that these two guys live in Germany, about 5000 miles away from Nashville. Even more interesting might be the fact that none of the guys is a country musician. So, Markus Kern, performer of the project, originally is a rock’n’roll drummer and Tobias Kurrle a successful guitar player and producer of non-country bands. So Markus quickly named himself Kashew, made this his solo project and they went on this trip over the big water.
Several Nashville studio cracks gave their best in the recording sessions and finally 11 tracks made their way on “Come with meâ€. If you listen to the result you might easily ask yourself “Is it country or not?†Definitely it is the most German-Nashville-sounding-record you’ve ever listened to! And after all Kashew got the bug of country music which made him write more music and do several solo performances.
After returning from his six-month-trip around the world there has brought along some new songs which will be performed in the one or the other living room! Also check out: www.kashew.com.... Markus Kern
