It's also interesting to follow her worldwide interest:
Kristen gives her full support to Maty Eitner of NixaCountry Radio for supporting today's young artists:
“I guess I’ll never be a performer if I don’t take singing lessons!†exclaimed 6-year-old Kristen Clark after watching a Britney Spears documentary on television. Living in rural Ontario, Canada, travelling to stepdancing competitions province-wide, Kristen’s focus suddenly changed from wanting to be a dancer to wanting to be a “performerâ€.
After enrolling in vocal lessons and capturing several 1st and 2nd place vocal awards, Kristen hit the country music venues with a charm and pure yodeling ability that not many 8-year-olds had exposed. She became known as the “Little Angel that Yodels†after performing at a Camp Trillium children’s cancer centre benefit called “Angels Among Usâ€.
Kristen’s involvement in the industry sparked her interest in writing and recording so she recorded her first 3-song CD entitled “New Beginnings†of cover tunes from three different genres. When she completed that CD she concentrated on writing meaningful songs that really meant something to her, thus embarking on co-writing several songs with her parents, three of which were recorded on her first original 3-song CD called “Kisses To Youâ€. Two of the songs are true to her life and one is very fictional. She was quite excited to walk into Music World at the local mall and see her CD sitting on the “New Releases†shelf for everyone to buy. She has since grown her sales venues to include Elite Performance Wear, Moondance, Giant Tiger and Sam The Record Man. The following November she also contributed to a compilation Christmas CD for the United Way. As if that wasn’t enough, she pressed on and wanted to deliver to her fans what they had been asking her for at her performances—a CD full of country classics. By June 2006 she delivered her 3rd CD to her fans entitled “Grand Ole Classicsâ€, a 10-song CD full of classics such as “Blue Moon of Kentuckyâ€, “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheartâ€, “Lovesick Bluesâ€, Daddy’s Handsâ€, “Coal Miner’s Daughter†and more...
2004 and 2005 saw Kristen performing at so many country music venues across Ontario that with regret she dropped her stepdancing involvement in favour of guitar lessons. Her bookings were constant, attending radio interviews, benefits, competitions and performances throughout Ontario. Highlights of the venues she’s performed at are as follows:
• Music City Bar and Grill, "15 Minutes of Fame" TV Show, Nashville
• Songwriter's Circle, Private BBQ, Broadcast worldwide by NixaCountry Radio, Nashville
• Lonnie's Western Room, Printer's Alley, Nashville

Currently, Kristen thoroughly enjoys sharing her own originals as well as Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and Miranda Lambert songs for the younger crowds and Hank Williams, Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline and Holly Dunn songs for the classic country audiences. She is determined to continue writing songs from her heart and recently premiered her latest two singles called "I'm Missing You“ and "Winding Road†on “Kids Countryâ€, a NixaCountry Radio show broadcast world-wide from Munroe, Oregon.
Kristen is making her mark on the world and continues to hone her vocal skills with Sony recording artist Tara Lyn Hart. She is continually improving her guitar picking skills through ongoing lessons and constant practice. She has also recently taken an interest in being an advocate for children’s causes and has donated an entire concert to the Bell Walk for “Kids Help Phoneâ€.
Kristen was extremely excited to make her first visit to Nashville, Tennessee this year (June 2007) to partake in the CMA Festival with one of NixaCountry’s best DJ’s, Maty Eitner. She performed on a Nashville-based television show called “15 Minutes of Fameâ€, participated in a songwriter's circle that was broadcast worldwide from NixaCountry Radio on Friday night and also sang at Lonnie's Western Room on Printer's Alley. She came face-to-face and talked to people she only knew from television so it was simply surreal to her! She's already begun saving for next year because she says "I'm definitely going back to Nashville next year"!
To sum up her achievements in Kristen’s own words—“I just hope everyone enjoys my music and I can use it to help kids all over the world out somehow!â€
