Ron resides in Oshawa Ontario with his wife Kay & two Daughters.
Instruments that I play are Piano, Keyboards, and acoustic rhythm guitar.
I started playing at eight years old. My musical studies were done at the "Royal Conservatory of Music" for classical music.My influences in music were Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley, Fats Domino and Elton John. My first performance was at age 14 at a city piano recital and since then I have played in hotels from the age of 16. My first band at age 18
was "Willy And The Poor Boys. We played many weddings, anniversaries, and large parties. My more recent bands include: Ventura, Burnt River, Shiloh, True Legacy, Melgum Road, Freedom Express, Country Knights, Kick-Ass Nights, Donny Anderson & Thunder Run. For the last 2 years, I have been playing with "The Blackfly Band" www.myspace.com/blackflyband and I am the quiet one in the band.I have had the opportunity to open for Coney Hatch, Prairie Oyster, John Landry, Terri Clark, and Doc Walker. I have also had the opportunity to play live on Breakfast Television and Havelock Jamboree with Donny Anderson & Thunder Run. With the Blackfly Band we have opened for Emerson Drive, and Johnny Reid and we will be opening for Amanda Wilkinson in June at Sin City in Peterborough.
