In a small house down King St, on the east side of Chatham, a mother pulls a record from it’s sleeve and places it on the hi fi , adjusts the needle and makes her daughter sing into a comb to the sounds of Motown pouring out of an old set of speakers. Meanwhile, a father drives home from the factory in an old beat up Oldsmobile with the radio tuned into a country music station playing something like The Judds. These moments are the ROOTS of Mati Haskell, and are what helped shape her into the artist she is today.To read more go to:
