Lately...Playing any kind of stringed instrument I can get my hands on. The usual interests are violin, all genres, mandolin, guitar, touring, gigging, reading on my days off, and making students laugh with my silly stories. I am also highly interested in my kids and their success in life. They are wonderful and I am very proud of them. When I have spare time away from teaching and performing, I enjoy Playback Theater, hiking, kayaking, and writing poetry.
People who love to play Celtic music. I meet musicians (famous and not so famous) everywhere I go and there is no greater thrill than to jam with complete strangers or old friends, and know that you love the same language.I would like to meet some movie producers because one of my goals is to play for a movie soundtrack.I want to meet people from all over the world, especially from Spain, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, and Argentina. And last but not least, I'd like to meet anyone with the last name of GOW. I love playing Neil Gow's tunes and my students fall in love with him. Even AFTER seeing him in plaid, they STILL want him to be their prom date. Well...maybe just the nutty ones! So, I guess I'd enjoy meeting anyone associated past or present with Neil Gow. I can't believe he has actually gone mainstream thanks to Allison Krauss! Now there is a person I'd really love to meet and jam with.
