About Me

Hi all, I am a transplanted Hawaiian, living in the scenic Piedmont of North Carolina. You may say, “You don’t look Hawaiian?”. To which I would say, “What is a Hawaiian?” Is it somebody that resides on one of the 5 inhabited islands that make up the island chain that is our 50th state? Or is it someone with native “Hawaiian” blood? Or does it have to both? Neither?
Read my blog entry How to Find Out if you are a Hawaiian? to find out.
As I said, I am firmly rooted in North Carolina now where I enjoy my family and our busy, busy lifestyle. Raising kids can be quite rewarding but also challenging at times. My oldest is at the age where he thinks he knows everything. He is a great kid and does well in school but does not like to read. I did find a cool way to get him to improve his reading skills though. I got him interested in "reading" without looking at a book! Read my blog and find out how you can improve your kids reading skills today

I am looking forward to meeting everyone on MySpace. OK, maybe a little lofty but I am going to do what I can. Send me a friend request anytime!

I had a few good blogs recently that you may want to check out:
If you like to listen to stories (i.e. audio books) check out my blog to learn where to find free audio books!
