Myspace BackgroundsSo you wanna know what I'm all about? Well, once upon a time, in a hospital room not far away, I came out of my moms uterus. It was to slimy in there. So I decided to come out on July 22, 1973 and thats when I strectched out my arms and legs for the first time. That's when I decided, I was gonna be famous, but I didn't know how?
It was when I was in highschool when I discovered that I was funny. I used to ride the school bus to and from school. And when you ride the bus with other highschool kids, it's a bagging session and I was the king. When I was a senior in highschool, I enetered myself into a talent show. I sang a parody of Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby. My version was Ice Ice Kiki. Kiki is my nickname. I took second place and I was hooked. But I still didn't know I was destined to become a stand up comedian.
Then I became a father on April 3rd 1995 and was content working a 9 to 5 J. O. B. It was the year 1999 when I decided to get my feet wet. I broke up with my Baby Mama and needed to vent. So I invited some friends to go with me to a whole in the wall club in L.A. to spread my wings for the first time. My friends let me know, that if I wasn't funny, they were gonna be the first ones to tell me to forget it. I destroyed the house and that's when I knew I was gonna do this for the rest of my life.
A couple of months later I discovered that The Laugh Factory had an open mic night. I stood in line for about a half an hour before open mic sign ups. I lucked out, because usually you have to stand in line for 6 hours. I killed on stage and Jamie was trying to give me a showcase. And not knowing who Jamie was and what he represented I respectfully declined his offer. You see, I worked nights and I was not gonna lose my job for something I was jus doing on the side. Then I found out what kinda talent Jamie was bringing to the stage. So I tried to get back on that stage. It took me about three years of standing in line before I became a regular at The Laugh Factory. Now that I am a regular I hardly get any stage time, it's frustrating but I still call every friday to give out my available dates.
Now I run a room in Colton on Tuesday that's called Liam's Irish Pub. It's most definately a good crowd and the Comedians that come out are very well known. I plan on continuing my road work, so when I'm outta town my partner Jus Mikey will be running those shows and visa versa.
