Influences: Update:
I had a revelation on the way home from work today regarding musical influences, thinking that we probably received our greatest imprinting between the ages 0 and 10. So as opposed to listing what music I've 'liked' over the years, I'm going to first list what I heard in my formative years.
- In womb - Mr Dylan
- Birth to 10yrs - Here's what I remember listening to as a kid;
Andy Williams
Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass
Englebert Humperdink
Tony Orlando and Dawn
and that guy that sings "the ship lies waiting in the harbour.." ahh can't remember his name right now. So, there you have it - the music that REALLY shaped me - while all the other kids' parents were listening to the Beatles I heard "Knock 3 times" over and over and over.

- my old 'influences list' (prior to revy)
I'm a huge fan of Colin James and Amanda Marshall, also Sheryl Crow, Train, WMM, Collective Soul...recently added Stripper's Union to my list of faves. I'm in awe of writers Craig Northey and Glen Phillips. Still love listening to Journey, Boston, the big power vocal bands...and Eric Martin was and is amazing. I love old Genesis, e.g, Trick of the Tail, funk/soul aka Stevie Wonder, rootsy stuff like Jack Johnson, and most recent CD purchase was KT Tunstall's latest. (update, latest purchase is Will Hoge's Blackbird on a Lonely Wire)
Sounds Like: according to reviewer on download.com similar artists are - Carole King, Dido and Sheryl Crow
