John Nyerges lives in Rochester, NY writing music and performing as a jazz pianist. BM, MM-Eastman School of Music, Jazz Performance.The John Nyerges Quartet performed at the Syracuse Jazz Fest & the Time Warner Fest in Rochester. As a guest pianist, John has performed with conductor/trumpeter Jeff Tyzik with the Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Erie, Northeastern Pennsylvania, Stamford & Hartford CT, and Wilmington, DE Orchestras. John has performed with Doc Severinson, Allen Vizzutti, Don Potter, Linda Hopkins, Chris Vadala, Gerry Niewood, Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Daniels, Ray Ricker, Tony DiPaulo, Steve Lipia. New York Voices, Michael Civisca, Mark Kellogg, & Bruce Johnstone.He has also performed with the legendary Joe Henderson, Maria Schneider, Benny Carter in the Eastman Theater and with Bob Brookmeyer at Town Hall in New York City, Steve Gadd, Peter Erskine, Joe Lovano, Dennis Dobson, Michael Pedicin, Jr. & recorded with the RPO, Nancy Kelly’s Amherst Records "Singin’ & Swingin’" and on the Rochester Chamber Society’s Chamber Jazz CD. Teacher: Asst Prof. Monroe Community College Jazz Instrumental; Eastman Summer Jazz Camp.2003-2004: RIJF (Rochester International Jazz Festival) with saxophonist Vince Ercolamento and vocalist Victoria Corrigan2007 RIJF with saxophonist Dave Glasser; Rick Holland/Evan Dobbins Little Big Band.
