About Me

DG is a trombonist, composer and educator living in NYC. Musically reared in Oklahoma via the University of Central Oklahoma, he later attended the Eastman School of Music. Upon moving to NYC, he began performing with Slide Hampton's World of Trombones and the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All Star Big Band. He can be heard as a sideman on the WOT's "Spirit of the Horn", the DGAASBB's "Things to Come" in addition to "The Search" by Wycliffe Gordon and Nancy Wilson's recent Christmas release. He has also released two recordings as a band leader for Nagel Heyer Records. "Maya" and "The Path to Delphi" both feature the compositions and arrangements of DG, and "G Rays" is his upcoming release on Nagel Heyer. Enjoy the clips provided.
