Annemarie's career has taken her through Europe and across North America over the past 10 years.
Her passion for French Music and Poetry has led her to combine interpretation and musicality in songs regardless of the time in which they were written. She invites her listener into her own intimate world and understanding of "Chanson". She speaks fluent French, English, and Swedish and sings in seven languages. In 1997, in Paris, she was a prizewinner in the Concours General de Musique et d'Art Dramatique for her interpretation of Gabriel Fauré as a Soprano Falcon. She has appeared in London at various venues including the Jermyn Street Theatre and Pizza on the Park, The Cochrane Theatre, St John's Smith Square.
She scripts, and performs her own one-woman shows, with a mixture of sophistication, wit, emotion and charm. Some of her recent shows were: "Parlez-moi d'Amour", "A la recherche du temps perdu", "Americans in Paris", "Foreign Affairs" Her interpretation of Fauré songs led to her recording the theme music of the movie "Devil's gate" which is being released in the United States, this February/March.
Her show "Secrets" at Pizza on the Park London on the 8th and 9th of January coincided with the release of her CD and was a great success. She presented a program celebrating the centenary of "Entente Cordiale" which was performed in Paris and subsequently in London in April 2005.
Her retrospective of the life of the French singer Yvonne Printemps was shown in the summer at various Festivals in the South of France. And June saw Annemarie returning to her favourite London spot, Pizza on the Park with Kenny Clayton and her varied programme of chansons: "Impressions".
2007 has seen her concentrating on her classical carreer and her desire to introduce spanish music into her repertoire, as well as returning to her passion for song and Lyric writing.
2008
She is currently preparing a new CD of her collaborations with many musicians around the world with the aim of reflecting how Music and the relationship between all musicians and all music styles plays a part in our understanding of the world in these troubled times. Spring and Summer will see her performing mainly in Europe with a series of recitals dedicated to Poulenc and Satie, as well as her four new shows: "Naturally" "I love Paris" and "Colours of Time"and "Voices". From this year on all her public performances will reflect her thoughts and concerns about individual and personal reponsibilities in front of the fragile balance of our planet...
With her passion for writing and as a lyricist/vocalist she works in close collaboration with other composers in various countries and in particular this year in Germany, project to be released in 2008.

SECTIONS OF POEMS:
On dit...
Sais-tu pourtant mon bel amour,
Que sans douter, jour aprés jour
Moi je t'attends...et je souries...
Je vis au creux de tes chansons
J'ai ta tendress pour horizon...
Ca me suffit...

Eulogie
Comme le vent s'empare
de ces moments immenses
Que le temps ecarte en vaines récompenses.
Nous jouons au souvenir
Avec un coeur de pierre
Sans jamais retenir la moindre priere...
A toi qui me quitte
Je fais le serment
Quelque soit le chemin, je te prend
Par mon ame, par ma vie, par ma joie
Par la musique qui m'emeut,
Par tout l'amour qui etait toi...
Et si j'oublie un seul instant
C'est que je serai prés de toi...

The spirit of the wind...
Nothing moves inside the rain
Nothing there you can explain...
It is as if you fly within...
A timeless pond of far beyond...
No time to die, to live or cry...
And yet you know you simply are...
You are as close as you are far...
For all is one, and in your soul
There is a veil of silver gold.
So can you feel or hear or see?
Nothing is there, but all is real...
It takes you in and does not leave...
It ploughs your mind and earthly binds you
To a state where all can be...
It is the spirit of the wind...
It bends your will and seeps a glow of empty dreams
Which neither lull or lie or try...
There is no truth inside its breath
And yet it knows of emptiness
With the perfection we all seek
Yet never find, for we are weak...
In cold embrace, in fiery hold
It is all we ever need
So let it come and let it be...
It is the omen we all seek...
It is the spirit of the wind!
