------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------"Flamenco nuevo group AIRE was formed around 2000 by guitarist Christos Tzifakis and dancer Melina Ioannidou.After experimenting with different personell the band found the perfect match in the current line-up which exists since 2005.It is also the two last years that the band has a more focused musical direction or a "vision",and that is a unique blend of flamenco with other genres and with the purpose of creating beautifull,complex,daring,original music.Being that the goal,AIRE started experimenting with the sounds of the cretan lute since last year and the last perfomances of the group featured the lute prodigy Michalis Stavroulakis,a collaboration that has to offer so much more in the future.Lately the band has been performing around Greece and never stops composing or covering or re-arranging new material."-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------Here are some photos of the band with important people of the scene that AIRE have met,studied with or even shared the stage(like Gerardo Nunez y Carmen Cortez grupo)!!!
