Mrs. Hima-Buli is Albanian native, who started the violin when she was six and a half years old at the Music School in Tirane. These years she studied with teachers such as Proletare Skenderi, Flora Klimi and Pirro Gjezi. She continued her studies in Bucharest, Romania where she had Master-classes and lessons with Stefan Georgiu and Serban Dimitrie Soreaunu. She got her Masters Degree in Performance from the Boston Conservatory, where she was mentored by Ronan Lefkowitz (BSO) and Judith Eisenberg of the Lydian string Quartet, and later Virginia Neikrug.
Mrs. Hima-Buli is a very active musician, and was the founder member of New Horizon Piano Trio (2003-2005), performer at Salem Chamber Music Series in NY, as recitalist and orchestra player. She is the co-founder of Alberica Duo ( Flute and Violin), that recently had their debut Recital.
Mrs. Hima-Buli teaches in Boston and surrounding areas from beginners to very advanced students. Her students have participated in most prestigious youth orchestras in Boston and have won youth competitions. She frequently coaches for the BYSO and METYSO.
She plays frequently with orchestras such as Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Opera Boston, Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Calflin Hill Symphony Orchestra and occasionally with Emmanuel Music Symphony by the Sea and Plymouth Philharmonic as Assistant Concertmaster. Mrs. Hima-Buli has performed under the conductors James Levine, Jamie Laredo, Gil Rose, Ronald Feldman, Martin Perlman, Isaiah Jackson, Anthony Princiotti, William Cutter, Susan Wyner, Jarry Sicko, Julian Wachner, Paul Surapine and others.
She is married to Eldri Buli, TV journalist.
