BURITACA 200

Buritaca 200 es una agrupación artística multidisciplinaria que concentra sus producciones en el espectáculo en vivo. Su música se alimenta de la danza, el teatro, el vídeo y la iluminación, elementos que, puestos en escena, expresan el lenguaje y el sentimiento construidos por el grupo.
Buritaca 200 nace de un deseo colectivo: mantener vivas las costumbres, los orígenes, las expresiones y los sentimientos hacia las músicas que han existido durante siglos en Colombia. El grupo comenzó como un taller dedicado a estudiar la música transmitida oralmente de generación en generación en diferentes regiones del país. La gaita, la cumbia el son corrido, el mapalé, entre muchos otros aires musicales, han enseñado a Buritaca 200 una manera de expresar siempre alegría, fiesta y esperanza frente a los problemas y a las realidades a veces difíciles de la vida.
Los integrantes de Buritaca 200 son mujeres y hombres provenientes de diferentes tendencias y disciplinas (folklore, rock, ritmos latinos y experimentales, cine, vídeo y diseño) que trabajan cada día para construir una expresión enérgica, entusiasta y vital.
Buritaca 200 is a multidisciplinary group whose work concentrates on live shows. The music band is accompanied by dancers, video projections and lights, elements that mixed on stage seek to express the spirit of the group.
Buritaca 200 is born from a collective desire: to keep alive the traditions, origins, expressions and feelings present in the variety of music inherited from one generation to the other through centuries in different regions of Colombia. The group started as a workshop devoted to study rhythms like cumbia, mapalé, son corrido, among many others. As a result of this learning process Buritaca 200 has found its very own way to express joy, strength and hope facing life’s troubles and despair.
Buritaca 200 's members are women and men coming from different backgrounds and music interests (folklore, rock, Latin rhythms, experimental sounds, cinema, video and design), that work together every day to build up an energetic, lively and enthusiastic expression.
