WE LOVE POTLUCKS...
delicious. We love camping, discussing pertinent environmental issues, singing in the shower, and conserving our earth!
You! Yes, YOU... Not in an Uncle Sam kind of way; less serious and threatening, more kind and curious. We love people and organizations of all shapes and sizes, colors, locations...
Just send a message with your friend request to let us know who you are and what you are doing to help save our lovely earth. If you just liked our space, that's gravy too!
We love all kinds of music, especially local music.
bluegrass
americana
zydeco
country
rock
(classic rock is definately included)
jam bands
punk
trance
oh how the list continues
anything we can dance to really...
The Big Bend Environmental Forum has some movies that they bought the rights to show and are willing to let us show for free.
Some of our favorites are:
Soylent Green,
Who killed the electric car?,
most documentaries about the earth including Gore's inconvenient truth...
and anything with a positive environmental message.
(This includes Fern Gully.)
Save NPR on PBS... always. Do you think NPR/PBS is a worthwhile expenditure of $1.12/year of your taxes? We're into the discovery channel, and nature conservancy shows (but you have to have fancy cable for that,) and CSPAN... they show really awesome scientific debates and info. concerning global warming. Truth is, we don't watch much TV.
GarbageLand,
The Consumer's Guide to Effective Environmental Choices,
Silent Spring, anything by Annie Dillard,
the Tao of Poo,
Poems by Dylan Thomas,
The Hemp Manifesto,
Anything by Walt Whitman,
and many MANY more...
