About Me

I am the only person I know who listens to electronic music 26.5 hours per day.

never lived in a city for more than 5 years.
my friends are my family, since all my relatives are overseas.
if I could make a living by going out every weekend I would. and I probably will.
I don't have a favorite color.
I drive a semi-beatup red '93 Ford Explorer. it doesn't define me, I don't define it.
I wear some very cool shirts when I DJ. They're from my friends at BreakFree Clothing. Check it:

I goof around A LOT.
I have been to Helsinki.
..
I have never been to Africa.
I hate olives. I hate tea. I hate doing laundry. I hate dumb people.
I love music (mostly electronic). I love travelling. I love cheese. I love urban cultural history pertaining to cities I've lived in.
..

My Interests

music, music, music (generally electronic), film, photography, design, Los Angeles - it's mysteries, icons, landmarks, history, cultures, etc. / nightlife, travelling, Antartica, random comments that make no sense whatsoever not even to myself, joking about something that is not even remotely real then telling the truth about it (have no idea why I do it, and there's nothing to gain from it), New York - it's fascinating blend of cultures, history, freaks, suits, metal, concrete, green, water, and "air" / throwing parties, and I can't believe you've read this much about me - what are you stalking me or something?!
HAHA!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

electronic, trance, progressive, house, chill, bossa nova, rock, tech-rock, brazilian. I.E.'s: Shiny Toy Guns, Above & Beyond, The Killers, Erick Morillo, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Infected Mushroom, Markus Schulz, Michael Burns, Sasha, Andy Moor, Deep Dish, Leama & Moor, Jason Bentley, Narcotic Thrust, BT, Junkie XL, Gabriel & Dresden, Gorillaz, Matt Cerf and everything pulsing towards and away from this musical center.

Movies:

can't even BEGIN... okay: Kieslowski's ENTIRE body of work, Closer, Garden State, 8 1/2 (every film school brat's answer, of course), Crash (both Cronenberg's and Haggis'), Hero, Terra Estrangeira (Foreign Land), Cidade de Deus (City of God), Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and I'll keep updating this thing cause there's too many...

Television:

a medium I usually don't follow considering I don't even own a TV. But shows I do enjoy whenever I catch them, whether it be at a friend's or on DVD are: Lost, The Family Guy, 24, Carnivale, chinese programming, The Daily Show, Adult Swim, Sifl & Olly (if you remember it hit me up!) and others that I fail to mention

Books:

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius / Girlfriend in a Coma / Double Lives, Second Chances: The Cinema of Krzysztof Kieslowski / How to DJ Right / Neruda / The Stranger / The Last Lemon / Sophie's World / and the rest of the pages that sparked my interest

Heroes:

mom, Tio Joao, and dad / the Robertson Dancer for his perseverance in always stylin it up on Robertson & 3rd / the West Hollywood Parking Violation Officers for always being there when you least expect / Tom, the inventor-creator-maintainer of MySpace / Ian for climbing the corporate ladder the way it should be CLUMBED! / Brian for adding other vegetables to the couch, potato aside / Mikey for coining his own genre of electronic music: Mikey Music / the door guy at Circus for hugging everyone who comes in / and the list goes on.....
