Big room house DJ Gina Star was raised in Dallas, Texas and began spinning records at the age of 18. Gina moved to LA in 2006 and after only a year and a half, she was hailed by the LA Times and E! Entertainment as one of the most talented and sought after DJs in the city. A reflection of her early years in the 90s rave scene, Gina Star created her own special style of big room uplifting import vocal house. Gina Star was welcomed into LA’s most exclusive and V.I.P. night clubs to which she held a residency at Ritual, the hotspot home to an entourage of superstar celebs. Now in 2009, Gina has moved to England to elevate her DJ career on the International scene. With a distinctive and uncompromising ear for good music she accepted the position of Director of A&R at Thrive Records, home to the biggest DJs in the world including Oakenfold, Digweed and Deep Dish. Gina Star recently released her debut single on Audacious Records which received rave reviews. She is currently in the studio working on her follow-up single.
