Anne Marie

I'm originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, and my Mom is originally from The Rose Bud reservation in South Dakota. I was blessed growing up learning the Native Hawaiian ways and the Native Indian ways. But of course I have more Hawaii ways in me because thats where I grew up. Yes I can dance Hula and I own and play a Kamaka Ukulele. For the passed 3 1/2 years my passion has been studying and singing Opera. I started in a Chamber Choir and now I sing in a Concert Choral. I also play the Clarinet so I love all types of Classical music. Some of my favorites that I have been lucky enough to perform and sing are Monteverdi's Mass, Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus, Morten Lauriden's Dirait-On, Bach's Magnificat. My most recent concert was on June 4th 2006 we performed John Rutter's Mass of the Children, and Mozart's Requiem. Music, Dance, Theater, and Yoga are a big part of my life. I have performed with many dance companies in Hawaii and in L.A I studied and performed a Japanese dance called Butoh for about 10 years as well as Modern dance. I also dance, Jazz, Tap, Swing, African, Filipino, Hula, Ballet, and most recently all types of Ballroom Dance, especially Salsa and Rumba! My friends are as eclectic as I am. I hang out with introverted intellects and outlandish drag queens. It is the Yin and Yang of life, it keeps you balanced. Most of my friends are involved in the arts in some form or fashion. If you can't challenge my mind or at least make me laugh, I will be bored:) I hope to meet some fun and interesting people. Much Love & Aloha, Anne:)
