About Me

Been playing music in many forms for over 19 years. (Yikes) Keeping creative to stave off boredom. (And if I stop to catch my breath I just might catch a piece of death.) Living in LA for the weather and for the few and far between down-ass people that I know out here. (Shout out to Oshun.) Love nature, the beach, animals and all that Greenpeace jazz but still love living in the city. Not that LA is a city by any stretch of the imagination. NYC is my hometown so I suppose I am a bit spoiled. I miss the subway and the vibes in the streets of NYC (although every time I go back I feel like that Native American dude with the tear-drop falling down his cheek in that old commercial about pollution.) I'd rather see NYC polluted with grime than with multi-naitonal corporations buying it up and trading culture for sanitized-for-your-protection living. That's why they have SUBURBS.Want badly to see Tecumseh's curse come to faithfully to fruition. Not crazy enough to try to make it happen. Unfortunately all those nut jobs generally seem to come from the far right.

My Interests

Music, movies (especially good sci-fi / horror), art, culture, counter-culture, sticking it to The Man, irony, comedy.

I'd like to meet:

Like minded musicians, artists, co-conspirators, the realists and the "paranoid enough" who still get the joke and enjoy the ride for what it is.

Music:

Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Mos Def, Bad Brains, Black Sabbath, Godflesh, RJD2, DJ Shadow, Only Living Witness, Motorhead, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Company Flow, Eyehategod, Talib Kweli, Nausea, Motorhead, Deftones, Sade, Roni Size, Cee-Lo, Panacea, John Coltrane, Fugazi, The Police, Marley, NIN, Saul Williams, VoiVod, Bob Dylan, Tool, Misfits, Run DMC, Redman, Prodigy, Sonny Sharrock, Slint, Charlie Mingus, Gravediggaz, Queens of the Stone Age, Sage Francis, Melvins, Fishbone, Nausea, Old-School Metallica & Megadeth, Pailhead, Thelonius Monk, Danzig, Miles Davis, Cro-Mags, Bill Laswell, Pharaohe Monch, 24-7 Spyz, Sepultura, Scorn, Helmet, UNKLE, Nas, KRS-One, Non-Phixion, Kiss It Goodbye, Deadguy, Refused, Fear, Ministry, Pailhead, Killing Joke, Neurosis, White Zombie, Nirvana, Biohazard, The Swans, Old Suicidal Tendencies, Deftones, Dead Can Dance, Bob Marley, Massive Attack, Bjork, Mogwai, Jimi Hendrix, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Sigur Ros, Outkast, The Ramones, Public Enemy, Wu-Tang, Soilent Green, Thin Lizzy, AK 1200, Portishead, The Coup, Dead Prez, Dieselboy, Sam Black Church, Funkadelic, Leeway, Glassjaw, James Brown, Aphex Twin, to name a few. I avoid TV like the plague. I'm not trying to sound like I'm on some old intellectual "I'm too good to watch tv" shit cuz if it's on, I'll watch it even if I think it's crap. That's why I never turn the TV on except to play Playstation or watch DVDs. Given the choice though, the headlights this buck would choose to be stuck in would be...
