WINLAND is an early medieval re-enactment group which aims to recreate and explore the viking period with its culture, tradition, weaponery, crafts and lifestyle. Our hometown is Bialystok. Our beginnings reach for the year 1997 when one man’s passion for history moved it all. Since then we have taken part in many shows, festivals and performers in Poland and abroad. Our main aim is simple: explore the viking period in its various areas but don’t forget about the fun!:) As much as we love sword fighting and battles, drinking and feasting is also of similiar importance to our reenactment! It is important to us to socialize and gather with other groups from various parts of Poland in order to be able to recreate battles, exchange views and opinions as well as simply having fun on feasts. Thus, a special project called MIDGARD has been created:
