The band, Dynamicron, is the result of a pact made many years ago in the frozen lands of the north. Founded at the base of Skåløfjel Glacier in the dead of winter, Dynamicron was the brainchild of Norvik Brundlesohn. Brundlesohn wanted to honor his Viking ancestors by creating an epic metal band, he enlisted likeminded youths from his village to complete the band. All of the original members of Dynamicron entered into a pact that winter's night, pledging to take the lives of any of the other members who became too obsessed with the pop-materialism that would undoubtedly befall them in order to keep the band pure.
Dynamicron's early months were comprised of playing local festivals and druidic gatherings. After two months, the band recorded it's first demo tape in guitarist Sven Aleriksson's family mausoleum. The demo included two songs, a ballad entitled "Withered Corpses Mark the Path" and another song which would later become the band's first single, "Gone is the Flesh from my Bones." The demo was well received locally and a copy even made it into the hands of Urs Trondhaavik, the head of Reliquary Record's A & R department. Tronhaavik came across the band after his son died in a fiery car wreck, the demo tape was found still playing on the stereo by a farmer came upon the scene. Dynamicron was signed to Reliquary on the same day as Trondhaavik's son's funeral.
Dynamicron's first release on Reliquary was the critically acclaimed ...the Wolves are Howling for More which netted the band two Grammy Awards for Best Classical/Goth Metal record and Best Scandanavian Album. Dynamicron would spend the next three years touring the world. On a rainy October night after a concert in Ploiesti, Romania; Jargs Huskerdaam murdered Erik Svolgerberg. Jargs, the band's drummer, became convinced that Svolgerberg had become too soft from the years of constant touring and strangled Svolgerberg in his sleep. Dan Simon, a roadie, was chosen to take Svolgerberg's place on keyboards for the remainder of the tour. Simon was found dead two days later in his hotel room, he was strangled by Jargs Huskerdaam who had mistaken Simon for Svolgerberg in an intoxicated haze - apparently Huskerdaam thought he dreamt up the intial murder and convinced himself that Svolgerberg/Simon should be murdered (again). The band decided to continue the tour without a new keyboard player.
Dynamicron entered the studio with a two new members after their first tour. Ulrik von Gundelsheim was tapped to be the new keyboard player after proving himself to the band by slaughtering a goat and butchering it with his bare hands to feed the band during the previous tour during a time when their bus had broken down and the entire group was snowed in for a week in the Carpathian Mountains. The other addition to the band was a man named Baron Eternal, who was hired to replace Jargs Huskerdaam. Huskerdaam was killed in a joust with Norvik Brundlesohn. The new line-up recorded Dynamicron's second album Into the Icy North that fall and prepared to head off on another world tour. During a pretour publicity interview, Baron Eternal was killed when his throat was slit open by Samael Pendragon. Pendragon gave no justification for his acts when questioned by the authorities but the other members believed it had to do with the original band pact and decided to replace Baron Eternal and go on with the tour. Bjorn Felderborgerson was brought in to take Baron Eternal's place. Felderborgerson was quick to leave his mark on the band during the first leg of the tour when he cannibalized Ulrik von Gundelsheim after a heated argument about which man was more evil than the other. Two days later at a concert in Prague, Norvik Brundlesohn was impaled while on stage by a fan named Magnus Thundercross. Thundercross told the band that he thought Dynamicron was going in the wrong direction and the only was to remedy the situation was for him to murder the band's lead singer and take over vocals. The band agreed. Tragedy struck again a week later when Sven Aleriksson died from complications with stomach cancer. Samael Pendragon mutilated the Aleriksson's corpse because he died in "such an unmetal fashion." With half the band dead, it was decided to postpone the tour until the next winter.
During the hiatus, several members came and went, a mass audition was held on the band's private jet. Halfway through the auditions, Magnus Thundercross became angry at the quality of the applicants and wrestled control of the plane away from the pilot, declaring that he would prefer to kill them all to assure the purity of the band. There were only four survivors of the crash; Thundercross, Pendragon, Felderborgerson and Victor Leslie Josef Dragonflame (a contestant). Thundercross said that Dragonflame would be allowed to join the band because by surviving the crash he had proven he was indeed metal enough after all. Dynamicron still lacked a lead guitarist and the tour was nearing. The band decided to enlist Helgard von Skullburg, a reformed mass-murderer. Magnus Thundercross was reluctant to approve of the addition because Skullburg was deemed as reformed by the Swedish courts. Skullburg assured Thundercross that it was all an act and promised to murder again. With a full line-up once again, Dynamicron entered the studio to record their masterpiece Verses From the Book of Forever.
Since the release of Verses From the Book of Forever, Dynamicron has experienced unparalleled success all over the world. The band is currently planning on releasing their magnum opus this fall titled 'Thus Spake Grandfather Bear' which is a return to their artistic roots.
