I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Quiet loud. True heart. Firefly. Touch, scent, color, and vibration. Flirtatious, a darkly modern dandy. No map, no compas, steady course. Art, Music, Glassblowing, Acting, Modeling, Photography.

My Interests

Music, photography, film, art, glass, Japan, honesty, passion, justice, beauty, traveling; honest ugliness, fucking with people's dishonest ugliness, living well regardless; food (sushi & pizza are faves!), good liquor & stuff. Dancing's fun too.

I'd like to meet:

Honesty. Loud quiet. People whose eyes tell real stories. Other artists & creatives. Other flirts and people who get it. People in love with being / becoming themselves. People who love laughter. People who risk. People who see bullets for George. (And other liars, fratboys, hypocrites, bigots...)

Music:

jass, rock, rap, ol' school country/swing/honky-tonk, electro-clash, punk, new-wave, post-wave/post-punk.... music that rocks. Not in a rock genre sense per se, but in a fucking ROCKs sense - honest, rebellious, passionate, real. People who have "something to say" -- music that makes you feel something-- anything (but preferably sadness, happiness, restlessness, or comfort): Mancini, Coltrane, Pixies, Hank, ghetto boys, Serge Gainsbourg, pistols, VU, ramones, peaches, joy division, iggy/stooges, Chopin, Mingus, Waits, Young, Cure, Mozart, Public E, Adam Ant, Ladytron, Pogues... too many to list - why are they mostly not on radio?

Movies:

No Such Thing, Tank Girl, Blue/White/Red, Secret Lives of Alter Boys, Edward Scissorhands, Hook, Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Schreck, Hitchcock films, Shakes the Clown, Arizona Dream, The Iron Giant, Sleepy Hollow, Get Shorty...

Television:

Must die

Books:

Bedside Book of Death, Breakfast of Champions, Franny & Zooey, Tale of a Death Foretold, The Secret Art of Dr. Suess, Squee, I Feel Sick, The Monsters in my Tummy, Voluptuous Panic, Letters to a Young Poet, The Importance of Being Earnest, Lies My Teacher Told Me and Lies Accross America, Rilke.

Heroes:

My grandparents. Russ Scanlon, Robert Skiles, Jesus, Dita Von Tease, Iggy Pop, Kelly Hogan, Che Guevera, Marilyn Manson (not necessarily musically speaking), Jules Baba Luv Ray, Alice Cooper, Mark Rydan...

My Blog

Tuesday

I just had a thought on youth, adulthood and experience; specifically about death. And while I'm not suggesting that this is *the* solution to the equation, it seems reasonable to consider it part of ...

(((STRESS)))

A thought I recently had on that subject - Stress & nervousness feels the exact same way that excitement does. It's just how you choose to process the sensation.
