Reaching for the sky just to surrender

About Me

Tall, overanalytical gal with too many projects and a heart of gold. To hear some songs I recorded in a past life, check out This Website . I'm a born and bred Tejana, a carpenter's daughter, and this Texas Rollergirl. I am also the flesh & blood sister of Rat City Rollergirl Bonnie Collide. I love everything having to do with the wind (kites, sailing, storms). When I have a crush on a guy, he will never know it until he wrestles me to the ground to force me to kiss him (ask me why... funny story). I'm a tomboy but I still grow my hair long and paint my toes pink and like my fair share of girlie things. I can be tough as nails, but Tom Waits can make me cry at the drop of a hat. I've already told you too much.

Pirate Season is NEVER over!

My Interests

Interests: deserts, mountains, animals, evolutionary biology, sailing, musical instruments, the Sea of Cortez, vintage British and Italian motorcycles, coral reefs, highways, Mexico, Alaska, roller derby, playing dress-up, backpacking, biking, arts and crafts, steampunk, making things out of concrete, old educational filmstrips, obsolete gadgets that still work, architecture, carpentry, cabaret, Eastern Europe, old fashioned carnivals, downhill skiing as fast as humanly possible, and causing a public spectacle.

God Bless the Ace Cafe:

I made these sugar calaveras in 2005 for Dia de los Muertos, and made 400 in 2006 for the women of Juarez.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone as marvelously insane as Fitzcarraldo

And/or, someone like "One"

People of integrity who mean what they say and take responsibility for their actions. Hilarious evil geniuses who will build things with me and join me for spontaneous road trips to Alaska or Mexico. New friends who don't hang out every single night in bars (or at home) getting hammered. Aspiring kiteboarders, dog mushers, globe-circumnavigators, revolutionaries... bring it on.

I also hang out with anyone who wears furry animal hats, with ears. If you don't have one, I might be convinced to make one for you.
