Frank Blueka is born in the North of Holland and moved at the age of seventeen to Zwolle. After playing in colorfull amount of bands he began his solo-career by playing on the streets of Antwerp and Amsterdam. Later on he was a frequent performer in small Pubs and at Private Gigs. Recently he opened the show for the Celtic bluesman Barry Mc Cabe (3 times). For the Belgium alternative classical-string-rockband DAAU and for the popular Dutch band KREZIP. Frank Blueka’s unique style of playing is showcased by Celtic & European elements and is weaving with the American Singer/songwriter tradition. His warm storytelling voice is lively driven by an electro-acoustic guitar. Dependable of the location he uses some acoustic delay to surround the space with a special atmosfere. “We can hear influences of Jack Johnson, Ozark Henry, Damien Rice, Radiohead, Luka Bloom, Neil Young, Townes van Zandt and the early Tom Waits…â€
