The plain clothes worrior "Wayne Lyrics" has been around the Jamaican reggae scene for several years. He began his musical career on sounds like "Jack Ruby" magnum, President HiFi and a lot of other sounds system.Born in St Mary; Jamaica, he grew up in Spanish Town. To date he has released over fifty singles and has worked with many of the island's top producers and labels. An original in his own right his unique sing-jay style has inspired top names. From inception he has been a DJ who has steadfastly delivered conscious and upligting lyrical content.His first recording in 1989 "Don't Diss the Programme" on the Sea Breeze label, brought him to the attention of the island's producers. More recordings for "Barry O'Hare, X rated, label produced songs like; "Sound boy a run" and the hit; "Pray to God", featuring King Lorenzo, which was later released by "Run Records" in Holland, bringing Wayne to the attention of the European audience. His biggest hit while in Jamaica is the "The basketball dance", "Seek and you shall find" recorded for the Big Jeans label. Mr Plumber on "Kins of Kings" label was one of his many top releases as well as "Jah Jah calling" for Sugar Minott's Black Roots label.Sine relocating to the UK, he continued producing the conscious vibes that he is known and loved for. He recorded his debut album "Poor People a Bawl" (Road Block Records 2000) from which came the hit song; "Mama Don't Go". Amongst other big singles were; "Love conquers all", featuring; Anthony B and G Vibes (Golden Eye Label, "Life is important (Supatech Records 2005) also "Colour of Justice" on the Silk Rythm (V.R.P Label)recorded for other UK labels like "Jet Star" and "Yush" have kept his name ringing.A popular live performer, he has made several live shows all over France and the European continent and is always in demand for his trade mark sound system specials as heard on many popular Jamaican Sound Systems such as ; "Killamanjaro", "Stone Love", "Bass Odyssey" and others.For 2007 Wayne has been busy recording a new album with producers; "Kenny Edgehill" and "Nereus Joseph" (Sirius Records) from which the track "Burning" with Empress Ayeola, "Murder in the streets" a hot favourite on Irie FM. In Jamaica he is already building up the anticipation for the forthcoming release recordings which is well on the way and combinations with "King Jay and Nereus Joseph", feature making a tough set of songs so far.Wayne have to say nuff respect to "Big A" from Irie FM Radio Station.
