ISAT INNAT - FIRE MAMMA
Since the release of "ISAT INNAT" her debut album in 2005, Empress Ayeola has been described as the female Sizzler, building a solid name around the globe with her fiery live performances. With shows in Jamaica (Rebel salute 07), the US with the likes of Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffiths, Yami Bolo and Kymani Marley and in Europe with Capleton, IJahMan Levi & Desmond Dekker under her belt her reputation as "The Real Fire Mamma" is spreading fast.
Spotting her vocal abilities, she was introduced to the music business as a teenager by her High School Music & Drama teacher SONIA SPENCE better known for her seventies hit (Leaving on a Jet Plane).
Starting as a backing vocalist doing sessions with Sonia and other artist at various studios and at live shows in Jamaica, before eventually stepping out in her own right to quickly become one of the most respected female Roots Reggae artists.
Generally acknowledged as lyrically gifted she has the ability to write songs that simple tell it as it is, without compromise, tackling serious issues relevant to today’s world.
Summer 2006 was hot: she performed in Jamaica (23rd July HIM Earthday celebration with 5th Element Crew, Gyptian, Chuck Fender & Perfect). Miami Lackark Stadium (June25th) Wisdom Knowledge and Over-standing) with Mutabaruka, Fantan Mojah, I Wayne, Queen Ifrica, Turbulence plus other top names, France (Aug 4th) Ja’ Sound Festival with Bunny Wailer, Chinna Smith, and JahMali and Belgium 5th Aug Geel Festival with Sister Carol & The Congos among others.
Work on her next album yet to be titled is in full swing and promises to be something special. Produced by Kenny Edgehill & Nereus Joseph (Sirius Records) with the usual array of musicians and guest artiste, the album is being scheduled for release soon.
Until then, Empress Ayeola will be spreading her Reggae fever to audiences all around the world.
