The concept of Sirius Records was formulated by Kenny Edgehill and Nereus Joseph in early 1999.
Ricky D and Nereus Joseph’s "Revolution" in the summer of 1999, heralded the debut of a label with the mission of creating music with a conscious vision.
Since then, the label has developed a reputation for high quality output, scoring hits with several releases in the summer of 2001. The roots lovers track "Empress" by Selah Collins, which is still in big demand,the roots anthem from Vivian Jones, "Rastafari is my life", as well as productions featuring top Caribbean, African and UK Reggae stars including Luciano, Dennis Al Capone , Peter Hunnigale, and Macka B among others.
Concept albums featuring artistes affiliated to Sirius Records, Nereus Joseph’s as well as Afrikan Simba are set for early release. Singles from Jah Mirakles , and Empress Ayeola, are also set for release.
The music output of the label will always be to striving for good family values , a balanced outlook on life, while at the same time seeking to provide good and enjoyable entertainment.The goal is to produce, promote and market music & artistes, who have a conscious outlook with regards to the philosophy of life (roots in essence).
