Jamaica’s rich musical history has been categorized by large families in which heredity plays significance. Fire Pashon is one such artist that was borne to such history.Born in Kingston,Jamaica,Tamar Minott is the daughter of legend Lincoln Sugar Minott.Growing in Kingston,especially the ghetto,she became familiar with the struggles of the people,which would later be evident in her lyrics.
Pashon's exposure to the world of music began at a tender age,due to her famous father's body of works in and outside the recording studio.Other factors included her attending dancehall events and major reggae festivals such as Reggae Sunsplash,Sting and Sumfest ect.
Her father now operates Black Roots Recording Studio and once a small studio from their home.He also owns the popular sound system Youthman Promotion,which operated in their yard every Thursday.This gave Pashon the opportunity to witness many artist performing,such as Jr.Ried,Yami Bolo,Tenor Saw,Tony Rebel just to name a few.Pashon did her first recording "Reggae The Beat" at age eight with her younger siblings.In addition,she has recorded several songs,and more recently,a song on the award winning "Applause"riddim entitled"Grudgeful".The video for that song has also been released and is getting frequent television airplay and receiving positive reviews.
Fire Pashon is no stranger to on-stage perfofmances.She has performed at most of the Major concerts in Jamaica including Sting,Reggae Sumfest,Sash..,CME,Fully Loaded,East Fest,St.Mary Mi Come From ect.She has gain alot of exposure from touring with her dad to places such has Japan,Hawaii,Canada,Europe,America,Cayman,Bahamas ect.The high Spirited Aries attributes her success to the influence of many artiste such as her father,Jr.Ried,Capleton,Diana King,Sister Carol,TLC,Wayne Wonder,Bob Marley,Sizzla Kalonji.Pashon is blazing a path for the new generation of artiste and her conscious lyrics have positively touched the youth of jamaica.Fire Pashon is coming soon to your neighbourhood.
