Shalom

Stephen Omar Harper AKA Shalom, born October in Kingston Jamaica. Singing from the tender age of 8yrs old. His music career begins when he met one of Reggae's legend Sugar Minott, the founder of Youthman Promotion recording studio.Stephen also sang back-up vocals with Sugar Minott for several years touring Japan, England, Africa, Canada, Germany, Paris, the United States and the rest of the world, before he met Phil Mathias (Producer) of 1997 hit single "baby I've got news for you". This hit single stayed on the chart for fourteen weeks in Jamaica, 1 on the "Black echo's" chart in London England and in Africa.In 2001 he came to New York to do a concert with Buju Banton,where his girlfriend aunt had her church in the Bronx "Faith in Action Deliverance Ministries" He visited the church to take her away from the church and got saved. He is presently a Minister and Armour Bearer of the senior Pastor and Prophetess Violet Wallace. Shalom now sings only gospel music, his debut album "Never Changing God" will be released soon. He performed at the Apollo in Harlem, December 2007 with hit single "Don't Stop Ataal". That single received an award for best Hip-Hop Gospel R&B song of the year.Shalom now ministers all over the world doing various concerts with Shirley Willis, Sandra Brooks, Glacia Robinson, Prodigal Son, Papa San to name a few.
