big music geeks who can teach me more about the music i love!!! confident, interesting, amusing, intelligent, quirky people; musicians; people with good taste; people who make me laugh, creative opinionated people; people who can surprise me (in a good way), people who show me things about art and fashion that I'm not familiar with; all or any of the above; quite possibly you!

i am one of the movie narcolepsy sufferers of this world, but some of the more modern movies i've really enjoyed in the not-so-distant past are harold and maude (ok that's 1971 but whatevs), little miss sunshine, ghost world, science of sleep, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (yes, i like everyone on myspace, also like this movie ;) ), kinky boots.. and of course high fidelity (which i have seen about 6 times, and only fell asleep in about 2 of those times).
of old films i like pretty much anything including julie christie or audrey hepburn, and many things directed by truffaut.
these days i particularly appreciate italian movies with english subtitles!
i do not own a tv. as a child, my parents didn't believe in letting me watch very much tv at all (we only got about 2 channels), and this kind of stuck with me. i was allowed to watch only a very select number of things, basically only educational programmes and films made prior to 1970. anything else they considered "far too vulgar" and capable of corrupting my tender sensibilites ;). these days i have very little time for any sort of tv, but like to watch the occasional movie if I can stay awake long enough (see above).
my Parents, mio dolce Amore, aaaaaaaaaaand...
